Even as the restrictions begin to loosen, our healthcare workers remain hard-at-work on the frontlines, putting themselves at risk every day to keep us safe. L’Oréal has extended a helping hand with the support of the Health Workers Union, Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation, and even Julie Bishop, by donating up to 300,000 products to 40,000 healthcare workers around Australia.

This token of appreciation comes as part of L’Oréal’s #ActsOfKindess campaign which aims to help essential workers who, as a result of the constant wearing of personal protective equipment, have suffered from irritated skin and hair damage. But the packs didn’t only come with beauty essentials, but also morale-boosting more personal gifts like Yves Saint laurent lipsticks, Armani fragrances and more.

In order to provide this, L’Oréal partnered up with Health Workers Union and Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation to ensure that 40,000 “care packs” consisting of key beauty products were sent out to Public and Private Hospitals, Aged Care, Disability, Community and Aboriginal Health facilities.

Julie Bishop, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, also teamed up with L’Oréal and voiced her support towards the campaign. In an interview on The Morning Show, she said, “Here in Australia we wanted to recognise the frontline workers in a very personal way…(they) are really doing it tough, and we want to say how much we appreciate the months and months of work they’ve put in.”

So far, the campaign has reached out to Victoria and NSW but they’re hoping that that will soon extend to a nation-wide distribution.
