Hair removal is just one of the pain-staking struggles women have to go through.
We are constantly trying to remove unwanted body hair as soon as it sprouts from funny places as the dreaded stages of puberty commence.
From shaving, to hair removal creams, IPL, epilating, threading, laser hair removal and waxing, this is all not very time, and cost effective.
So, say hello to a waxing solution that means you can cancel that salon appointment and save some serious dollar!
Yes, we’re talking about an at-home DIY wax recipe, no strips needed and you probably already have all the ingredients in your kitchen already.
The DIY Waxing Kit
What you need:
- lemon juice
- Honey
- Water
- brown/white granulated sugar
This sugar wax is really simple and easy to make. It’s also made from natural ingredients and isn’t harsh on your skin, you can even use this DIY waxing formula on your face.

The wax is also water soluble which makes it very easy to remove and clean up and is suitable for sensitive skin. Plus it hurts a lot less than regular wax!
If you want to increase the quantities so you can use it on your body then we recommend:
- 1-2 cups of white, granulated sugar (use more or less depending on how hard or soft you want the wax to be)
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of water
Or you can just increase the amounts Sadia uses in her video.
For the best results and skin benefits use an organic/natural honey. Honey has it’s own anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities. Also you will achieve the maximum amount of hair removal your hair should be about a quarter to half an inch in length and make sure you pull the wax off in the opposite direction of your hair growth.
Now you are ready to try it for yourself at home!
