Martha Stewart’s Green Secret To Longevity Inspired Us To Share Our Favourite Smoothie

When lifestyle icon Martha Stewart took the stage at Sydney’s Vivid Festival, she revealed one of her top wellness tips: a green smoothie every morning. At 83, she swears by it for staying healthy and energised. So, inspired by her routine, we’re sharing The Carousel’s ultimate green smoothie recipe for you to try at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado (peeled and pitted)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • A few ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

This smoothie is rich in healthy fats, fibre, and essential nutrients, making it a great option for breakfast or a midday snack. Feel free to customise it by adding other fruits like mango or pineapple, or incorporating protein powder for an extra boost.
