It’s Been a Busy Month for Rihanna…

Ms Riri doesn’t do quiet months. Between a foundation overhaul, a jelly-gloss comeback, a midnight-edged sparkle collection and A$AP Rocky’s lip balm making its second run, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin have been on a serious roll. Here’s the recap.

1. Pro Filt’r Fluid Flex Foundation: 50 Shades, Zero Compromise

Almost three years and 800 hours in development, 30+ prototypes tested across continents – this is Fenty’s answer to seven years of shade-match feedback. Rihanna went back to the drawing board and rebuilt the range from scratch. The result is 50 all-new, neutral-based shades, fine-tuned undertones, tested in every kind of light.

The formula itself is engineered to move – a breathable polymer blend that flexes with your face, resists oxidation, sweat, humidity and transfer, and settles into a natural matte finish that looks like skin, not makeup. Starfruit extract keeps oil and shine in check all day.

New tools make shade-matching easier too, with virtual matching on fentybeauty.com and TikTok, plus in-person Shade Match-Up Events rolling out in stores from 5 September.

Pro Filt’r Fluid Flex Foundation ($72) and the new Foundation Brush 165 ($56) lands 4 September at Sephora and Myer.

2. Gloss Bomb Burst: Jelly-Gloss, Now With a Twist

The Gimme Gummy moment gets its hero product. Gloss Bomb Burst is a colour-intensifying take on the cult gloss – explosive, shimmer-free shine that deepens from bold to bolder with wear, then fades into a soft stain that lingers long after the shine’s gone. Vitamin E, shea butter and peptides keep lips smoothed and nourished, applied via the signature XXL doe-foot applicator for a fuller, juicier finish.

Two limited-edition shades: Pink Blink, a hot pink that settles into a playful rosy tint, and In a Jam, a deep berry with a flattering wash of colour.

Gloss Bomb Burst ($43) launched online at Sephora 4 August, in stores from 12 August.

3. Midnight Diamonds: Diamond Bomb Gets an After-Dark Edit

Rihanna took the bestselling Diamond Bomb glow and gave it a nocturnal makeover. Platinum highlights, holographic black lips, crystal-cut eyes – this is sparkle built for after hours.

The lineup:

  • Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil in “How Many Carats?!” ($66) – the cult highlighter in a limited-edition midnight-black faceted compact
  • Smoke ‘N Diamonds Eye Trio ($75) – eyeliner, Diamond Veil Shadowstix and Hella Thicc Mascara for a full sparkling eye
  • Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer ($39 each) – new holographic black “Caviar Crystalz,” plus the return of fan-favourite “Diamond Milk”
  • Gloss Bomb Stix in “Caviar Crystalz” ($42) – high-shine, holographic lips with skin care benefits built in

Exclusively online at Sephora Australia from 3 August.

4. Lux Balm: A$AP Rocky’s Lip Balm Is Back, Now in Coconut

Co-created by Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, the balm that went viral in his “Riot” video returns reformulated – smoother glide, same slim, pocket-friendly design – with a new limited-edition Coconut scent joining fan-favourite Barbados Cherry. Shea butter, mango butter, avocado oil and vitamin E deliver up to eight hours of hydration.

Lux Balm ($25) hit the Sephora App 14–20 July, Sephora.com.au from 21 July, and stores from 29 July.
