But while she was here for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival of Sydney, she also showed she wasn’t afraid to speak out against her critics for bottle-feeding her six-month-old baby daughter Ioni.
She told her followers that although it is not their business, her milk went dry and Ioni is doing ‘just fine’.
“Anyone who has a negative comment to make on the way I raise my baby will be blocked,” she said recently on her Instagram post. “This is not a democracy, everyone doesn’t get a say.”
Well said.
She told The Morning Show that “everyone is going to judge you for anything you want to do” and she won’t stand for it. Her advice is to “block them, you don’t need to hear those comments.”
Considering the increasing negativity and petty arguments on social media, it’s so refreshing that Coco doesn’t indulge and is comfortable with what she’s doing and has no time for people who tell her how to live her life.
Coco explained why she isn’t hassled by the paparazzi.
“If I am so open with you, you will back off. You will notice that I’m giving you so much that you don’t need anymore, which allows me to control the photos I give.”
You win our vote again, Coco.
Coco told The Morning Show that she has had the opportunity to take Ioni on set with her and that ‘the mixture of working as a mum has been a lot of fun’. While the presenters joked that Ioni is destined to become a supermodel, she said that she will support her daughter in whatever she wants to do.
In response to the recent refugee crisis, Coco and John Paul Pietrus, friend and photographer, took action selling signed gallery prints and giving 100% of the proceeds to charity.
Clearly Coco is enjoying all aspects of her modeling career, but is also using it as a platform to do good for others. Also, being a mother has certainly not stunted the development of her career, as this November she will be revealing her new Botkier X Coco Rocha bag collection.
