Michael Klim made waves in the pool. But, his relationship with the (equally successful in her own right) founder of Almost Real and Snaaps, Michelle Owen is a reminder that when it comes to love, the winning combination is less about cheesy chocolates and more about moments, memories and the magic of shared adventures.

The couple’s bond has been built not only on years of love but also on a mutual passion for health, exploration, and staying active. From ocean swims to ice baths, they’ve crafted a partnership that thrives on movement, recovery, and mindfulness.

Their relationship has been a beautiful journey, starting with simple pleasures like serene beach walks with their dog, to thrilling snorkelling sessions in hidden corners of the world. Every shared experience, from the depths of the ocean to the invigorating chill of an ice bath, serves as a reminder of the importance of living in the moment – and the power of connection.

Michael, a decorated Olympian, and Michelle, the creative mind behind art and photography brands Almost Real and Snaaps, found wellness took on a deeper significance when doctors diagnosed Michael with CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy).

The couple dove into a life that truly prioritises health, embracing a lifestyle that nurtures both their physical and emotional well-being. Whether it’s relaxing in the sauna, indulging in hyperbaric chamber therapy, or plunging into icy waters, their wellness-focused routine has become a vital part of their love story.

“Every activity we do together strengthens our bond,” says Michelle. “Whether we’re swimming in the ocean or recovering in a sauna, it’s all about nurturing our bodies and deepening our connection.”

Their adventures go beyond just physical activity. Bali, their sanctuary, has become a place where they continue to nurture their love and focus on holistic health. From cherished Sunday Mood rituals to exploring new horizons, they remind us that true love is about supporting each other’s growth—emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

As Michael continues to inspire others through his commitment to wellness, Michelle brings her artistic vision to life through her creative projects, including her ventures into photography and her new reusable film camera brand, Snaaps. Together, they balance creativity and strength, embodying how love grows when rooted in shared values, mutual support, and wellness.

So this Valentine’s Day, let Michael Klim and Michelle Owen’s love story inspire you. Whether it’s prioritising self-care, finding a new adventure together, or simply embracing the present moment, love flourishes when we focus on the things that truly matter.
