But what about a Justin Bieber song?

That’s what the devious folk at Vanity Fair conspired to test when they sat down the star of the upcoming action flick London Has Fallen to read The Bieb’s hit single Love Yourself.

“I’m going to give a dramatic reading from a very popular songwriter,” says Morgan at the beginning of the clip below, adding a bit of an eye roll in for good measure.

His read continues with perfectly timed dramatic pauses and deadpanned looks directly into the camera, which injects a bit of camp into the song’s sentiment.

“For all the times that you rain on my parade, and all the clubs you get in using my name,” reads Morgan in his iconic baritone.

“You think you broke my heart, oh, girl for goodness’ sake, you think I’m crying on my own,” he says before a dramatic pause. “Well, I ain’t.”

All in good fun, says Justin, who clearly doesn’t take himself as seriously as his image may have you believe.

Already a victim of a Comedy Central roast, and countless other parodies, Justin retweeted Vanity Fair’s tweet about the video’s release.

It’s not the first unusual take on one of Justin’s songs from the Purpose album either.

Several celebrities gave dramatic reads of Sorry during the Sundance Film Festival and Ten Second Songs’ Anthony Vincent also took on Sorry, singing it in 20 different styles.
