After meeting on last year’s I’m A Celebrity….Get Me Out Of Here! Barry Hall and former Hi-5 member Lauren Brant have announced they’re expecting a baby.
Lauren reveals to New Idea magazine that she found out she was pregnant in August, just two months after their love blossomed, and she couldn’t wait to tell the former AFL star via a FaceTime call.

We filled up on steak and chips… then thought about hitting the clubs… no we didn't! We just came home and are SO excited about going to sleep! #nanacouple #wefoundlove #earlynight #fridaynight #candles #tired #relaxed #bestfriends #bed #sleep #goodnight #melbourne #bedtime #sweetdreams
“He asked me if I’d been crying and I said, ‘Yeah, but happy tears’,” says Lauren, 29.
“I just looked at him and I said, ‘I’m pregnant,’ and his face just lit up.”
Now 18 weeks pregnant, Lauren and Barry, 39, are hoping that this is just the beginning for their family.
“I’m happy for my body to be a baby maker for the next decade,” says Lauren.
Both Lauren and Barry also shared scans of their bundle of joy with their Instagram followers.

Well it's the news I've always wanted since I can remember!! I'm going to be a DAD! I'm so excited not only to have my first child but to have it with such a beautiful caring woman who I love dearly. She will be the best mum, I can see it already. Can't wait for the arrival . #bubby #daddy #mummy #love #newidea #excited
Writes Lauren: “This is OUR OWN little baby. Barry and I are beyond excited to share this news. I just LOVE kids and I have dreamt of the day I will be able to have my own. Well, I have finally found the perfect partner who will also be the worlds best Dad, and we have been blessed with a little miracle. IM PREGNANT!???”
The normally stoic Barry also showed his softer side when he said: “Well it’s the news I’ve always wanted since I can remember!! I’m going to be a DAD! I’m so excited not only to have my first child but to have it with such a beautiful caring woman who I love dearly. She will be the best mum, I can see it already. Can’t wait for the arrival.”
Lauren and Barry admit it wasn’t exactly love at first sight while stuck in the South African jungle last year, and they quickly parted company.
But they both soon realised they hadn’t seen each other’s real side during the filming of the hit Ten show.
“The way she was portrayed on the show is just not how she is,” Barry tells New Idea.
“Barry thought I was cast as an entertainer,” Lauren says, “and he had a preconceived idea about entertainers.”
“She is quite the opposite,” adds Barry.
Barry split from his wife of three-and-a-half years just prior to appearing on I’m A Celebrity…Ge Me Out Of Here!, while Lauren broke up with her personal trainer fiancé Warren Riley after returning to Australia.
She confessed to him that she’d had an affair with married Footy Show star Beau Ryan while they were starring in a stage production of the musical Aladdin.
