Blood Moon Warning for March: Destiny and Karma Are About to Clash

A powerful Blood Moon total lunar eclipse, also known as the Full Worm Moon in Virgo, will turn the sky a deep coppery red on Tuesday (March 3), bringing a profound reckoning between destiny and karma. Resistance may be futile as long-standing patterns rise to the surface for release.
This is one of the most karmic eclipses we have seen in some time. The Sun aligns with the retrograde North Node, which represents destiny and the future, while the Moon sits with the retrograde South Node, which governs karma and the past. When they oppose each other during a lunar eclipse, the tension between who we have been and who we are becoming becomes impossible to ignore.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow across the lunar surface. During totality, the Moon takes on a deep coppery or rusty red hue, which is why it is commonly known as a Blood Moon. Symbolically, this colour has long been associated with intensity, culmination, and transformation.
This full moon is also called the Worm Moon, a name that dates back to seasonal observations in the Northern Hemisphere, when earthworms begin to reappear as the ground softens at the end of winter. Astrologically, it represents renewal, preparation, and the subtle stirring of life beneath the surface.
Unlike a solar eclipse, which often brings visible external events, a lunar eclipse works on the inner world. It governs the subconscious, the feminine principle, and the emotional body. Australians will be able to see the total lunar eclipse in the evening sky, with the totality phase visible from early evening in Perth through to late night in the east. Peak totality will occur between approximately 7:30pm and 10:30pm local time depending on your state, weather permitting.
