Collins Dictionary describes a Game Changer as a person who significantly affects the outcome of something.
We’d like to make a couple of addendums to that if we could: for us the term also embodies someone who is not afraid to push the boundaries at every turn and reinvent the rules in pursuit of their dream.
We gathered a select group of these inspiring visionaries for the second series of Game Changers, hosted by Studio 10’s Sarah Harris – dual international sports star Ellyse Perry, The Savvy Shopaholic herself Jo Munro, world-renowned pharmacist Gai Williams, psychotherapist Dr Karen Phillip, and stock market gurus Darren Stephens and Basil Nuredini.
“I think a Game Changer is someone who sees a gap in the market and want to actually fill it with something fabulous,” says Jo Munro.
“It’s just their passion and vision for seeing what’s different to what everyone else sees – it’s so inspiring.”
As author of the hit book The Savvy Shopaholic and go-to expert for a slew of national TV and radio shows, we think Jo fits that bill perfectly.

For Ellyse Perry, international soccer and cricket star, a Game Changer is someone with “the confidence and belief in doing something, even if it’s a bit different”. Click here to find out more – and why she’s so excited about the future of women’s sport.
In another instalment of the second series, long-time friends, Melbourne investor gurus Darren Stephens and Basil Nuredini share why they’re so excited about the launch of Trading Room Pro, a ground-breaking online tool to help stock market rookies grow their nest-eggs.
“I think a Game Changer is someone who has lots of passion, and is wanting to make a difference in the world,” says world-renowned publisher Darren.
Adds Basil: “Game Changers are people who break that conventional wisdom, do it better, do it differently.”
International author and leading pharmacist Gai Williams fits that bill to a tee – here she shares with host Sarah Harris the amazing story behind her miracle herbal cure for infant colic.
“Game Changers use their passion and their energy and all their knowledge to really make a difference and leave a lasting legacy,” says Gai.
In yet another instalment in our second series, leading Australian psychotherapist and author Dr Karen Phillip opens up to host Sarah Harris about how hypnotherapy helped her make a miraculous recovery from a medical emergency.
“A Game Changer is someone who can use their ability, their power, their passion to help people make changes in their life,” she says.
“They’re someone who can help and empower – and change the lives of people.”
