Are you one of those people who is totally overwhelmed when entering an IKEA store and do not know where to start to choose furnishings and accessories for your home?

Given the current Coronavirus situation and the world in lockdown, most of us are not venturing into an IKEA store but are happy to browse their website and order online. However, the website can be as daunting as their stores given the huge amount of choice.

Everything is about to change for the better. For the first time, IKEA Australia has enhanced its online shopping experience with the launch of a Virtual Interior Design Service. This gives you the chance to connect with their interior designers from the comfort of your home making it so much easier and more enjoyable for you to choose a colour palette, furniture and accessories for your home. In case you are worried and wondering how effective it is to work with an interior designer remotely, I can vouch for it as I continue to successfully manage my London clients from here in Sydney.

Design Advice – To celebrate the launch of this new virtual service Ikea is offering this 30-minute session free of charge.  It includes an online meeting with an interior designer who will give you advice about colours, textiles and storage.

Basic Design Package – This 60-minute session for $79 includes the advice in the free session and in addition you will receive collages of products, colours and materials, a mood board and a 3D view.

The days of trawling an IKEA store not knowing where to start for the design of your room(s) are over and virtual interior design consultancies will be the new way of working. An interior designer can glean all the necessary information from a virtual house tour, floor plan and virtual meetings with the client. With the IKEA Virtual Interior Design Service, you have at your fingertips electronic collages and mood boards from which to create the home of your dreams.
