In the spirit of International Women’s Day on March 8, we celebrate three leading women in business – Kate Save, the Be Fit Food CEO, Cassandra Spies, the Healthy Twisted Treats CEO and Debbie Taylor, the CIO of NBN.

From owners and founders of companies disrupting the health scene with their weight-loss solutions and healthy alternatives to our favourite frozen treats, to a chief information officer at NBN who is making conscious decisions to support and encourage gender equality in STEM, they are all making a difference.

While they acknowledged the barrier between gender and success, they are not ones to let obstacles get in their way.

Listen to our three podcasts taken from our recent Game Changers series where they were each interviewed by TV host Melissa Doyle.

Kate Save, Be Fit Food CEO

Debbie Taylor, Game Changers

Debbie Taylor has over 30 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industries with leadership roles at PwC and giants Vodafone. Today, she holds the position of CIO at NBN Co – the broadband company that only six years ago had no females in leadership positions. With NBN, Debbie also focuses on encouraging gender parity regarding roles, pay and general inclusion in STEM.

Cassandra Spies, CEO and Founder Twisted Healthy Treats

Cassandra Spies, Game Changers

Cassandra Spies realised during her trip to the US over 10 years ago that there was a gaping hole in Australia’s dessert market…there were no healthy alternatives. She took the opportunity, using her knowledge from her Bachelor of Science in Food Tech, to start up what is now called Twisted Healthy Treats – the frozen desserts that keep the great taste we all love as well as all the health benefits.
