Without ever leaving the house, you can stay connected and see what others having been doing in their own quarantined life. And Pinterest has been showing supporting small businesses and celebrating people’s latest ideas and projects.

Here are some of the latest powerful pins that can enhance community spirit during this pandemic.

People are turning to Pinterest to see how they can help their community and small businesses. Search trends such as ordering takeout or delivery from local restaurants, starting online fitness classes from local studios and writing positive reviews and signing up for newsletters have all increased.

Family Gaming

Get out the old monopoly and have a game with your family. Searches for “family games” in Australia have increased by 155% according to a new Pinterest Report, with Spain, the UK, and Mexico also seeing significant spikes.

Some other hot gaming trends include the fishbowl game, spoons and Ripple.

Some pinners have been searching for comforting words for themselves, friends and family. Spending time with family quotes” AND “check on your friends quotes are rising. A personal favourite of mine found is;

Bread making is becoming the new breadwinner. People around the world have been getting back to basics and learning how to make bread. Cooking of any sort is a great activity to do with the family and delicious to! Searching for creative recipes like “no yeast bread” in the UK “damper bread” in Australia, “Japanese brioche” in France, and perhaps most notably, “Navajo bread” in the US have been emerging.
