Pause and Paws: The Perfect Way To Pamper Your Pup

International Pet Day is just around the corner on 11 April – dropping a timely reminder of the vital role our canine companions play in our wellbeing. From wagging tails that lift our spirits to gentle snuggles that soothe busy minds, pets aren’t just animals, they’re family, co-pilots on our walks, and loyal partners in everyday adventures.

And, to celebrate Aesop is rolling out a tail-wagging wash designed to ensure you and your furry friend paws for a moment. From 9-19 April, select stores across Australia will transform into the Paw Parlour, inviting pups and their humans to sniff around, and indulge in some well-deserved pampering.

The star of the show is Animal, Aesop’s gentle skin-and-fur wash. With Lemon Rind, Tea Tree Leaf and Spearmint Leaf, it gives a fresh, herbaceous cleanse that’s kind to sensitive noses … and rewarding for the hands that lather and scrub. Since 1999, it has kept tails wagging and noses twitching from Melbourne to beyond, proving that pampering isn’t just for humans.

Flagship locations – including Bondi, Newtown, Fitzroy and James Street Brisbane – will host local groomers for in-store consultations, while pups can enjoy treats, customised bandanas, and curated walking guides. It’s the perfect opportunity polish those paws, and let your barking buddy strut their stuff.

So, leash up your pooch and pop by for a sniff, a wag, and a bit of pampered pawfection. Whether your pup is a tail-wagging socialite or a shy sniffer, there’s something for every dog and every human to enjoy. Because International Pet Day is all about showing our loyal companions just how much they’re loved.
