Latest CurrentBody LED Face Mask Has New Tech to Treat Acne Effectively

This is the CurrentBody Face Mask.

The CurrentBody LED Anti-Blemish Mask: Series 2 has upgraded with new tech called Veritace technology which makes sure the red and blue LEDs emit light at the most effective intensities for treating acne. Here at The Carousel, we tried the new mask and even after only a few uses, we could see the mask had made the acne much less inflamed and the skin’s texture and complexion was improved a great deal.

Why is this new mask so effective? It seems to be because it has 220 red and blue LEDs – which is more than most LED face masks. These LEDs are evenly distributed so this makes sure that every zone of the face receives the same power and wavelength. CurrentBody says this all means the mask achieves more consistent results, targeting blemish-causing bacteria while reducing inflammation at the same time. We felt the mask did achieve this as the acne being treated reduced in inflammation remarkably after only two sessions. The new technology and the ability to cover every zone of the face, seems to make the mask more effective.

The CurrentBody LED Anti-Blemish Mask Series 2 has more LEDs and new technology to help treat acne.

New Veritace technology gives wavelength precision for better results

The mask features new technology called Veritace technology – which gives the mask more wavelength precision by emitting blue light at 415nm and this level of light targets and eliminates acne-causing bacteria, reducing existing blemishes and preventing new ones from forming.

The mask also emits red light at 633nm and this level of light calms the skin, reduces inflammation and supports collagen production, helping to heal and improve skin tone. Together, these wavelengths work synergistically to clear and brighten the skin more effectively than blue light alone.

We asked the person who used this new mask from CurrentBody for The Carousel if they felt it was working for them and they said: “I’ve tried a few LED masks and this one has the edge. I can see a major difference after just a few sessions.”

So, the addition of Veritace technology makes sure the right intensity of light is delivered to the skin, enhancing its ability to heal and rejuvenate. At the same time, while the technology is cutting edge and effective – it’s also safe to use.

The new mask has been redesigned with ‘Best Fit’ shape

The CurrentBody Skin LED Anti-Blemish mask has also been redesigned with an improved ‘Best Fit’ shape. This was because the previous design worked for many face shapes but it often required adjustments and wasn’t ideal for everyone. Now, CurrentBody has designed this mask with cutting-edge poured liquid silicone so the new mask is more flexible and comfortable – and has more coverage at the same time.

We asked the person who tried the new mask how comfortable the mask felt when it was on. This person has tried a number of masks on the market and she said: “This mask just fits way better – it feels like putting a comfortable covering on my face. Some of the other masks I’ve tried felt like trying to put a swimming cap on my face and that just wasn’t comfortable.”

So CurrentBody has achieved a way more comfortable mask. They said to design this, they went through 21 different iterations and carried out testing on hundreds of different face shapes and sizes to work on how to contour the mask comfortably to the face – even extending it to include the chin for complete coverage – which is useful for hormonal breakouts along the chin and jawline.

When you combine the Veritace technology with the 220 LEDs and an added chin strap for full coverage, this mask provides more complete, even treatment for acne-prone areas such as the chin, jawline and cheeks.

Leading UK dermatologist, Dr Pyal, recommends the CurrentBody Skin LED Blue Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2, because the Veritace technology means it gives patients the “precise wavelength of 415nm.”

Leading UK dermatologist, Dr Pyal – aka TheBlushingDoc on Instagram, says the CurrentBody Mask is effective because its Veritace technology gives patients the “precise wavelength of 415nm” which is particularly effective.

The leading UK dermatologist and skin expert called Dr Pyal (aka TheBlushingDoc on Instagram) says the CurrentBody Skin LED Blue Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2, is among her top recommendations. “I recommend this particular device as Veritace means I know my patients are receiving the precise wavelength of 415nm,” she says.

Overall, Dr Pyal endorses blue light therapy saying it “… targets acne-causing bacteria and helps calm inflammation.” She adds: “It’s particularly useful for red, inflamed spots and works well as an adjunct to other topical treatments.” The doctor also notes that blue light therapy is not only effective for acne, but it can also help regulate oil production and reduce the appearance of pores over time. “It’s a safe, at-home option for those looking to avoid oral medications, and it can be easily integrated into most skincare routines,” she adds.

To maximise results, Dr Pyal advises using blue light therapy 3–5 times a week for 10 minutes per session and always in conjunction with:
* A gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser
* A salicylic acid-based product
* Daily broad-spectrum SPF
* No strong acids or retinoids before/after use

When selecting a blue light device, Dr Pyal advises:
* Medical-grade LEDs
* Clinical testing & safety certifications
* Automatic shut-off features
* Distinction from non-therapeutic blue light

“Blue light therapy offers a safe and effective option for treating acne at home,” Dry Pyal adds. “The key is consistency, education, and choosing a reputable, well-tested device.” She also stresses caution for those with darker skin tones, explaining, “Overuse may increase the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so it’s essential to follow usage guidelines and use sunscreen consistently.”
