Kylie Jenner Breaks The Internet (Again!)

Mirror, mirror on the wall, Kylie Jenner’s the fairest (and most powerful) of them all. Kylie has restored her standing as the most influential Jenner / kinda Kardashian, proving that she too can #breaktheinternet like big sister Kim.

Despite being the youngest of the flashy brood, the self-named King Kylie, has exerted her kingly prowess by causing the internet to “break” with her makeup line, Lip Kits.

Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits

Some 200,000 eager Kylie-ettes tried to purchase the Lip Kits yesterday, causing the site to crash almost immediately. An apologetic Jenner took to Snapchat to beg forgiveness from her fans, saying, “You guys, please don’t be mad at me. We are trying to fix it.”

The 18-year-old pop-cuture-pin-up added, “There’s 200,000 people on the site right now trying to buy lip kits, so of course we are having technical difficulties.”

Kylie Jenner apologising on Snapchat

With girls (and boys) desperate to mimic the reality starlet’s puffed-up pout (sans the surgery), the lip line sold out in a staggering 20 minutes. “I cannot believe it sold out this fast!” Kylie quipped. “There were so many people on the site it literally broke. I’m so happy for the people that got through. I’m really sorry if you didn’t get through.”

Google Analytics, the mode to measure website traffic, was so overwhelmed that it simply stopped working, causing an astonished Kylie to ask, “We broke Google?!”

It seems fitting that in what was a launchpad for her ‘career’, her infamous lips again have had the last laugh.

With her lyrical turn of phrase and penchant for uber-glamour, Chrisanthi Kaliviotis is in her element writing about beauty for The Carousel, while weaving in fun fashion and pop culture references. She also loves a road test, so we send many of the new hair tools that arrive her way (she actually knows how to use them). Have you seen that hair?
