We’re in for a lunar treat on Tuesday… with a rare total lunar eclipse (or ‘Blood Moon’) coinciding with November’s full ‘Beaver Moon’. Spiritually, we can expect cover ups and spilled secrets, and a warning – watch your finances!
The total lunar eclipse is a result of the sun, earth, and moon aligning so the moon moves completely into earth’s shadow.
The moon usually looks white because the light we see is sunlight reflected off the moon’s greyish surface.
Throughout an eclipse, the moon moves into the centre of earth’s shadow — or umbra — and it appears darker. When the moon is totally within the umbra, it looks reddish-orange (hence the name ‘Blood Moon’) as the only sunlight reaching the moon is from around earth’s edges.
The impressive visual spectacle won’t be witnessed again until 2025 and the final eclipse of the year could highlight an emotional cover up of sorts.
We can expect our emotions to be in overdrive… especially concerning financial or business matters with the moon being in Taurus.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Venus loves beautiful things, luxury and spending money. There will be a strong focus on money and possessions and financial surprises can be expected.
But the eclipse encompasses values and self-reflection so we should be wary of selfishness and lavishness or over-spending.
Taurus is known as the stubborn bull – and the eclipse offers up a mighty moment to let go of stubbornness and go more with the flow, which will bring some relief.
A relationship could come to an end, or we may realise our job won’t sustain the lifestyle we desire. Reflecting on this lunar spectacle could help us to build boundaries and grow.
There will likely be real physical effects for everyone during the event, but especially for Taureans, Leos, Scorpios and Aquarians as they are ‘fixed’ signs.
