The enviable figures of the Kardashians do not come easy. Hard work and dedication has been the secret to Khloe’s 16kg-loss.
She tells People she works out “almost every day” and is currently on a five-days-a-week training plan. Khloe also says that these gym sessions with family trainer Gunnar Peterson help her ’emotionally’.
In addition to exercise, she has also made changes to the food she eats. Khloe reveals that in one month she lost 5kg as a result of just cutting dairy from her diet and changing nothing else.
The model says, ‘I’m obsessed with cheese and milk, but eliminating them from my diet made the biggest difference’.
General lifestyle changes have also been a part of her new health plan, the Strong Looks Better Naked author said ‘I’m way healthier now than I ever was. I stay really hydrated by drinking five litres of water and taking vitamins every single day’.
The Hello singer admits she’s always struggled to keep her weight in check.
She’s tried just about everything over the years, including running with the dog, a vegetarian diet, and even a dalliance with lifting weights: “I’m not like, skipping to the f***ing gym,” she laughed.
“I don’t enjoy it. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I’m so conscious when I’m lifting weights not to let them burst in my face”.
But now, the mother of Angelo, believes she’s found the key to long-lasting success – by simply cutting out tea.
The world’s hottest comeback singer used to take 20 spoonful’s of sugar a day, two each in her 10 sickly cuppas.
That is triple that of a woman’s recommended daily dose of six teaspoons, or 24 grams.
The chartbusting singer says: “I used to drink ten cups a day with two sugars in each so I was on 20 sugars a day.
“Now I don’t drink it and I have more energy than ever.”
Reportedly now 30kg lighter, Adele has also given up booze and generally eats more healthily all-round.
3. MELISSA MCCARTHY
Previously dangerously overweight, Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy, is shrinking before our eyes – and she hasn’t stopped yet.
As for her secret to losing a reputed 22kg in record time, mum-of-two Melissa says she simply changed her outlook on food.
“I truly stopped worrying about it,” she told Life & Style magazine.
“I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked.
“I could have figured that out before now, but whatever.”
Melissa also credits training with a martial arts instructor for the box office hit Spy as a kick-starter to her weight-loss journey.
But her biggest inspiration of late is the launch of her stunning new clothing line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7.
The Jersey Shore pocket-rocket started her health-kick after giving birth to her first child Lorenzo in 2012.
But she’s really ramped up the lifestyle since the arrival of her second child Giovanna two years later.
Today she hits the gym with her trainer at least four times a week for 45-minute, or hour-long sessions.
With the help of her trainer and his customizable meal system Anthony Michael Fit Food, Polizzi is doing away with the carbs in her diet and loading up the pre-packaged meals with lean protein and veggies.
“I train with my sister-in-law,” says Snooki, now 23kg lighter than she was at the height of her reality TV fame.
“We basically do weights every single day and we target different areas. Whether it’s biceps, shoulders, abs legs, each day is a different thing and it’s fun to do it together as much as we can.”
5. ROSIE O’DONNELL
After the American comedian, actress and author suffered a heart attack in 2012 she underwent ‘vertical sleeve gastric surgery’ the following year to kick-start her weight loss.
Lifestyle changes followed, including an exercise plan and a healthier diet – reduced red meat, carbohydrates and sugar.
She added that she is now generally more active, taking daily walks. She told People that in those two years since her surgery she’d gone from 109 to 80kgs.
