Good news for fashionistas. Fashion psychologist, Dr Kate Baecher says women can get royal bride to be Meghan Markle’s polished look without the price tag.
Almost one in five Aussies (18%) are spending $12,000 on clothes per year in an effort to feel and look their best, according to a new survey.
With over 35% of people surveyed confessing to purchasing a staggering 10 or more new clothing items every month, Dr Baecher says the answer to achieving Meghan’s chic look isn’t to purchase a whole new wardrobe but rather to better care for our favourite, staple garments.
Shockingly, almost half of all people surveyed by Lovables detergent are throwing out clothes every 3-6 months, with 48% blaming loss of shape.
What a waste!
Dr Baecher says “If we take better care of our garments they’re bound to last the test of time. When it comes to fashion, Meghan Markle tends to stick to what she knows suits her, a principle we should all be adopting to ensure we invest in items that make us feel confident.”
