Christmas Pudding SmashCake

Pimped Christmas Pudding

  • Oil
  • 300g Milk or Dark Chocolate
  • 150g White Chocolate
  • Jaffa or Red Chocolate Lollies (the ‘cherries’)
  • Spearmint Leaves or Green Cloud Lollies (the ‘leaves’)
  • Red and Green M&Ms
  • Mixed Lollies/Chocolates of your choice for the ‘filling’ and additional decorations

  1. Oil a large stainless steel bowl with 1/4 teaspoon of oil and place in a freezer for 10 minutes
  1. Place approx 300g of chocolate (Milk or Dark) in a microwave safe bowl and microwave the chocolate until runny
  1. Pour the chocolate into the bowl allowing enough to coat entirely. Then gently swirl the chocolate around the bowl to cover entirely – this creates your ‘Pudding’ dome
  1. Place bowl back in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes until chocolate has set
  1. Once set, turn the bowl upside down and very gently slide the chocolate shell out the bowl
  1. Once the chocolate dome is out the bowl, fill with lollies and treats of your choice.
  1. Place a board on top and gently turn it the right way around. Then you can start to decorate which is the fun part!
  1. For the chocolate “drip” – melt white chocolate in the microwave as previous.
  1. Once melted, gently spoon the white chocolate over the top of the dome, starting in the centre so it drips down the side of the dome – do this in 5 or 6 sections so that it looks like the icing of a Traditional Christmas pudding.
  1. Place another small drop of melted chocolate on top, directly in the middle, and place a large red chocolate ball or a couple of jaffa’s on the top to represent the cherries, and two spearmint leaves or green clouds to represent the leaves.
  1. Then using red and green m&m’s (or your favourite Chocolates or lollies of choice), alternate them around the base of the dome using melted chocolate as the ‘glue’ to decorate.
