Can This Facial Really Give You Better Skin During Your Lunch Break?

You COULD spend your midday meal braving the food court for a couple of mediocre takeaway sushi rolls. Or, book in for a 45-minute Glow & Go treatment at your local Glow Medispa. However, with the latter promising to deliver glowing skin in less than an hour, we were willing to forgo the quest for the last tempura prawn roll. And, can confirm we are happy we did.

From start to finish, the Glow & Go facial takes just 45-60 minutes, making it the perfect skin pick-me-up between meetings. No fluff, no fuss – just straight-up glow. Here’s the step-by-step breakdown of how it all goes down.

Step 1: Double Cleanse – First base

First up, the therapist (we were lucky enough to be paired with the lovely Elisa Osmo) gets to work with a thorough double cleanse using the Dermaceuticals Tri Phase Cleanser. It effortlessly sweeps away the morning’s makeup, sunscreen, and general urban grime, leaving skin prepped and ready for the real magic to begin. There’s something incredibly satisfying about having someone else cleanse your face – while you daydream about your colleagues battling the food court crowds.

Step 2: Enzyme Exfoliation – Fruity beauty

Next comes the enzyme exfoliation, a cocktail of mango, papaya, and pomegranate enzymes that work their magic by dissolving dead skin cells. Unlike harsh scrubs that can leave skin irritated, this step feels gentle yet effective. In just a few minutes, our complexion already looks fresher, and Elisa assures us it’s the perfect way to prep for the peel.

Step 3: Pumpkin Enzyme Peel – A seasonal skin treat

Pumpkin spice might be synonymous with lattes, but in this case, it’s our ticket to brighter skin. Packed with natural AHAs and enzymes, this peel works to improve texture, boost cell renewal, and refine pores. It tingles slightly (which, let’s be honest, always makes us feel like it’s doing something), but never crosses into uncomfortable territory. By the time it’s removed, our skin already looks a touch more radiant.

Step 4: Facial Massage – Midday massages

If we could start every workday with a facial massage, we would. This deep tissue technique targets facial muscles, lifting, sculpting, and encouraging circulation. It’s like a mini workout for your face, but without the sweat. Bonus: It’s also incredibly relaxing, making it hard not to drift off for a sneaky midday nap.

Step 5: Hyaluronic & Peptide Mask – Your daily dose of h20

Now, it’s time to drench the skin in hydration with a hyaluronic acid and peptide mask. This step is all about plumping, firming, and replenishing moisture, and let’s just say our skin soaks it up like a sponge. It feels cool and soothing – perfect after the enzyme peel – and by the time it’s removed, our face looks noticeably dewy.

Step 6: Red LED Light Therapy – The Final Glow-Up

Finally, we finish with red LED light therapy. This step stimulates collagen production, reduces inflammation, and enhances skin health – all while we get a few moments of blissful relaxation under the warm glow. It’s the ultimate finishing touch, locking in all the benefits of the treatment and ensuring our post-facial glow lasts long after we leave the spa.

The Verdict? Worth Skipping Lunch For

Walking out of the Glow Medispa, our skin looks instantly fresher, brighter, and more hydrated – like we’ve had eight hours of sleep and a litre of green juice. The best part? No downtime. We’re back at our desk within the hour, glowing like we just returned from a holiday (instead of an express facial appointment).

So, is the Glow & Go Facial treatment worth swapping out your sad desk lunch? Absolutely. Because let’s be real – tempura prawns can wait, but glowing skin can’t.
