While in lockdown, I decided to try out one of the Bawdy butt sheet masks. It was a novel and pleasant experience.

The mask was pretty simple to apply, but I did convince my husband to help out. I lay on the bed face down – I put out a towel (just in case), but I wouldn’t bother next time. You just need to place one sheet on each check and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.

I yelped when the sheets were applied – oh boy, they were cold and moist! I wasn’t expecting that. I surfed the web on a tablet while I waited for the time to pass. There was a very mild pleasant scent – it’s more like aloe vera.

It was easy to take the masks off. They weren’t as moist – I guess my bum had absorbed some of the nutrients and hydration.

The slap it butt mask promised to tone, smooth, firm and improve texture. The caffeine was added to retexturize and detoxify your butt. The aim was to reduce the orange peel effect.

There are currently four butt masks in the range:

  • bite it – hydrating and toning
  • shake it – firming and illuminating
  • slap it – retexturing and detoxifying
  • squeeze it – brightening and rejuvenating

If you are feeling brave, the company encourages you to share your buttfie on social media.

It would be ideal to pair a back clay mask with a butt mask, while lying on a massage table. I’m not a total convert, but I’d probably try the other butt masks in the range. Perhaps they have a place in your pre-beach or summer holiday beauty routine.

All butt masks are vegan, cruelty-free and non-toxic.

Bawdy is available to purchase online and exclusively with MECCA.
