A Touch Of Luxury For Your Lips

A Touch Of Luxury For Your Lips

Want to know my favourite no-fuss way to glam up what I’m wearing? Drumroll please… it’s as simple as adding a bright, bold or matte lipstick to my look. Not only is it dummy-proof (it really is as easy as colouring in between the lines), but it can literally be applied on the go. Wherever you go. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve pulled out a lipstick in the cab on the way to a work function.

Here are my picks this month…

The Carousel - Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Colour

Bright orange is the perfect lip colour to rock this Summer. Why? Not only does it look stunning against golden sun-kissed skin, it can also immediately wake up your complexion, even when you’ve had a long night watching Netflix. However, the secret to wearing a bright lipstick like this one is get your foundation or base absolutely perfect – a red-based colour can draw attention to teensy imperfections like pimples or red spots, so make sure you have your concealer handy. Try Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Colour in Atomic Orange, $52

The Carousel - Giorgio Armani Ecstacy Lacquer

Reckon lipglosses are just watered-down, glittery versions of lipsticks? This fabulous buy from Giorgio Armani will make you think twice. Loaded with tons of pigmented colour, this smoothing gloss will add a jolt of colour to smackers in an instant. You can even up the ante by layering it over a matching lipstick for a hit of bold colour – it’s a multi-functional winner in my eyes. Try Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer in Vintage, $52

The Carousel - Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte

Look no further if you’re looking for a dangerously bold lip colour that just oozes sex appeal. You can spice up a little black dress with this dark red colour, and pair it with barely-there neutral eyeshadow and dewy cheeks for a nighttime look. And nothing says pure luxury like a magnetised case that twists close with a SNAP…  Try Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Matte Lipstick in Decisive Poppy, $50
