Inspired by the ‘natural-sexy’ 90s Versace campaign, the hair look at Versus S/S15 played up each model’s individuality with an overall sexy cool theme at New York Fashion Week. Here’s how to get it at home…

THE LOOK: 90s Undone Sexy

Individuality reigned on the runway at the Versus SS15 shows. Redken Global Styling Director Guido Palau, enhanced each model’s natural hair texture, whether wavy or straight, with a naturally undone look and overall cool, sexy feeling. “This sense of individuality was inspired by the Versace ads from the mid-90s and how the girls were captured for who they were, not what they were made into,” explains Guido.

“Each model had a very natural, undone style, but each was slightly different depending on the model’s hair type and length. I added texture and lift at the roots with a generous amount of Wind Blown 05, and left the part messy and natural. Then, to add a bit of modernity and richness, I lightly sprayed Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist all over the hair at the end to give it a nice sheen, which played up the sexiness of the collection.”

CREATE THE LOOK
1. Start with dry, natural hair, and create a messy natural part.
2. Generously spray Wind Blown 05 Dry Finishing Spray, all over the hair to add airy texture and weightless volume.
3. Tousle hair with fingers to achieve an easy, undone look.
4. Finish with a light mist of Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist, all over to enhance the hair’s natural shine.
