Dip-dye hairstyles are back! Celebs everywhere are jumping on this fun, fresh, re-vamped bo-ho vibe. In this easy DIY guide, Home & Away starlet, Susie Collins gets a ‘green with envy’ dip-dye look with Beauty Editor to the stars, Glenn Nutley.

We’re loving this trend of adding a splash of colour to your locks, and we’re not the only ones! Glenn says this trend has followed on from the ‘ombre’ look in Hollywood; “I think people really find it an easy color option to spice up their look and experiment with colors that aren’t natural tones!” .

In this video, Glenn shows you how to get this amazing look without ever leaving the house! And here’s the best bit – he’s using hair extensions – so anyone can get on the dip-dye bandwagon! Mix and match your look with this uber-cool temporary colour injection, or give your own locks a temporary hint of colour with hair chalk like Jennifer Hawkins at the MYER Spring/Summer 14-15 collection launch! Glenn recommends using hair chalk in your own hair, but says “the result isn’t quite as bold as Susie’s.”

Tell us all about your shoot with Glenn for thecarousel.com:

Susie: My experience shooting with Glenn and his team was amazing. I was so happy with the hair and makeup, I felt like a beautiful gypsy! Glenn is so talented and always has such a great eye for detail. He always makes me feel comfortable and knows how to get the best shot. The teams vision for the shoot was great, it felt very dreamy and whimsical.

Your thoughts on the dip-dye look?

Susie: I loved the dip dye look! I had mentioned to Glenn that I has always wanted to try it, so when the opportunity came up for your website I jumped at it! I think it’s a fun way to express yourself and to try colours in your hair you wouldn’t normally do. I think the dip dye look adds that extra something to an outfit also. I’m loving all the pastel dip dyed hair that’s popping up in magazines too.

Did you love the hair extensions?

Susie: I did love using hair extensions because it added extra volume and length to my hair! I think dip dyed extensions are a great way to have a bit of fun with your hair for the day without having to comit to the colour full time. You can swap colours and play around depending on your mood!

What are you working on at the moment?

Susie: I recently finished work on ‘Anzac Girls,’ a six part series currently airing on ABC based on the true stories of Australian and New Zealand nurses  serving at Gallipoli and the Western Front in WWI. I have also been shooting a pilot named ‘Delicate Rod’ here in South Australia which has been so much fun to work on. Stay tuned!Hollywood friends: Renee Bargh, Susie Collins, Amy Edwards & Delta Goodrem
