Connected by creativity and wanderlust, beautiful Australian blogger, Sheree Commerford, of CAPTAINANDTHEGYPSYKID and Camilla Franks have come together to create a spectacular Winter Edit and shoot on multi-award winning, luxury destination, One+Only Hayman Island.

A lover of life, travel, nature, curiosities, fashion, styling, vintage, family and tribes, CATGK’s, Sheree Commerford, has brought her stunning style and creative spirit to the label, handpicking a special edit and styling of CAMILLA’s current Road to the Blue House Winter collection (in-store now).

Of the collaboration, Camilla says; “I adore Sheree. Internationally recognised, artistic, creative, and beautiful, she definitely walks to the beat of her own drum … much as my label does. Her fashion and lifestyle blog inspires me and the CAMILLA team and we love how Sheree has made the pieces her own and captured the spirit of CAMILLA and this current collection.”

The edit features key Road to the Blue House collection pieces, with a CAPTAINANDTHEGYPSYKID spin, incorporating pieces from Sheree and her children, Captain and Sugar’s, own wardrobes, creating a unique look for the brand.

The admiration is mutual – Sheree is just as taken with Camilla, saying;  “Camilla’s collections capture the adventurous spirit and sense of freedom that as a family reflects our lifestyle – living the everyday while trying to create as many special family moments as we can! And this is how I’ve styled the Road to the Blue House collection. I’ve broken down key CAMILLA pieces and mixed them in with dirty, raw denims and vintage Ts. I’m drawn to the contrast of the dark and heavy beadwork and beautiful embellishments alongside the lighter and more classic CAMILLA pieces. Offset by a basic black and white colour palette I was looking to provide those edited CAMILLA pieces with a blank canvas, so they could shine! My favourite pieces from this collection are the heavily beaded pieces and the black board shorts”.

Sheree also contributed an ethereal image for the CAMILLA 10 Year Art Project where Camilla Franks invited 10 influential and artistic people to create an art piece featuring a CAMILLA garment which was then displayed in-store and auctioned at an intimate event to raise proceeds for The Black Dog Institute. The underlining theme: Freedom. It was from here that the idea of the CAMILLA x CAPTAINANDTHEGYPSYKID collaboration was born.
