So I’m not the tallest person in the world. But over the years I’ve learnt simple tweaks to make an outfit stretch every centimetre possible out of what I was born with.

Don’t question, just do! Check out our eight tricks and, well, fake it. There’s no shame in this kind of faking, it’s called illusion dressing ladies, start today.

Here’s how to fake longer legs

Trick 1: Wear a nude shoe.

Shoes that match your skin tone will help give the effect of elongating the leg.

Trick 2: Go for cropped jackets.

A cropped jacket gives the illusion your torso is shorter, making your legs look longer in proportion.

 

Trick 3: Monochromatic looks are best

What you are going for is an uninterrupted look to make you legs look longer.

Trick 4: Go for Pointy Shoes

Round-toe shoes can make you look shorter whereas pointed shoes help give the effect of longer legs.

Trick 5: Longer hems are your friend.

If you wear heels, and a really low hem your legs will suddenly look incredibly long.
