The woman you design for: Describe her personality…

I design for a confident and strong woman who is comfortable with her shape. She is also somewhat classic and feminine. My gowns are designed to flatter the female body shape.”

For the Fashion Palette show, you featured a range of bold colours as well as your more traditional bridal designs. What was inspiration behind the collection…?

“I wanted to use golds and nudes with hints of strong tones of aubergine and navy blue. The inspiration was strong and metallic and all things ‘Luxe’.”

Black dresses for brides: What are your thoughts…?

“I am quite the traditionalist when it comes to the wedding gown and love a white gown. I have designed black, but it is a rare request. The black trend isn’t as big here as it is overseas. A woman choosing black for her wedding day is not your traditional classic bride.”

Gold dresses for Brides: What’s your opinion?

“I love pale hints of gold but predominantly ivory and whites for brides. The gold and stronger tones are more showpieces or red carpet pieces, rather than designed for brides. Silver and all things lustrous are also quite popular now, with brides choosing silver lace or beading.”

A thigh-high split in red… how sexy! Tell us about it….

“I love this piece – the ultimate goddess warrior gown for a strong woman. It was actually worn at the Logies recently by the glamorous actor, Cassie Howarth. The inspiration for this piece was my love for the metallic burnt cut out piece, which I paired beautifully with the burgundy chiffon layered skirt.”
