A Giant Skin Care Pop-Up Is Giving Away Free Samples (And Sorbet!) This Weekend

We’ve seen beauty brands do cafes (We Love Dior!). We’ve seen beauty brands do vending machines. But, a giant sorbet tub parked on Sydney Harbour and rivalling the Bridge and Opera House for status as Circular Quay’s biggest stars? That’s a new one.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

But that’s exactly what’s on offer for two days only, as Garnier scoops up one of the city’s sweetest beauty activations yet, transforming Circular Quay into a giant Sorbet Creamery to celebrate the launch of its new Hydrating Sorbet Cream moisturisers. And, because no one wants imaginary dessert, there’ll also be free sorbet and complimentary skin care samples up for grabs.

Setting up at the northern end of the Overseas Passenger Terminal, the oversized installation promises plenty of photo opportunities. Plus, the chance for visitors to get acquainted with Garnier’s latest moisturiser range.

The new Hydrating Sorbet Creams lean into skin care’s latest obsession with sensorial textures, swapping heavy creams for lightweight formulas that melt into the skin with a cool, sorbet-like finish. The range comes in three targeted formulas that deliver lasting hydration without the greasy aftermath – a welcome plot twist for anyone who’s ever felt like their moisturiser was sitting on top of their skin instead of sinking in.

The pop-up lands:

  • Friday, July 10: 12pm–3pm
  • Saturday, July 11: 10am–3pm

Miss your chance to grab a scoop by the harbour? Garnier will take the Sorbet Creamery west, popping up at Westfield Parramatta from July 16–19, where the free sorbet will return alongside arcade games and prizes.

Because if skin care is going to tell us to chill out, it may as well hand us dessert while it’s at it.
