One of the highlights of Sydney Fashion Week so far has been the incredibly moving interview with designer Camilla Franks where she talked with Powerful Steps Podcaster Tory Archbold about her courageous cancer battle and the joy of motherhood.

Camilla, who is three years into remission from a stage three breast cancer diagnosis that came just three months after she had daughter Luna, talked to Tory about how she faced chemo, the innovations deployed to save her fashion label during the pandemic and how she manages a long distance relationship. The Aussie designer also revealed the personal heartbreak she faced before filming the latest season of Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice.

“I’d just finished five rounds of IVF,” Camilla told Tory. “The day before, I was in hospital getting the eggs taken out. Two days into shooting, I found out the eggs hadn’t survived. So I was on my own personal journey, emotional pain, to have to put the game face on every day and show up.” Tory Archbold’s interview is now airing on the Nova Entertainment Podcast Network.
