The internet is such a wonderfully variable and fluctuating beast! First it was Kim Kardashian’s bottom breaking the internet, now it’s a never-before-seen family portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and little Prince George. And, as suspected the #royal has gone viral…

The portrait in question that has surfaced on social media, is a smiling and happy royal family ahead of their tour to New Zealand and Australia earlier this year and was taken by photographer Jason Bell for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in March ahead of their tour. The beautiful image was framed and reportedly used as a personal thank you gift from the royal couple to the people involved in their tour.

While the source of the viral image is yet to be uncovered, a Kensington Palace spokesman has confirmed that the photo was authentic – the real royal deal. The spokesman saying; “I can confirm it is a photo the Duke and Duchess used as official gifts on their tour to New Zealand and Australia. It was taken by Jason Bell before the tour.”

Everyone loves a royal pic and this one has caused another social media storm overnight with thousands of fans tweeting, instagraming and sharing the image and falling over themselves commenting on how adorable little Prince George looks – we do have to agree!
